Foaming Bath Butter offers the newest innovation in cream soap formulation - it offers versatility & luxury while it cleanses and moisturizes. The very mild pH of 5.5 even makes it ideal for facial applications. This Foaming Bath Butter base provides an endless list of possibilities: whipped into a body parfait, colored and layered, as a shaving cream, as a sugar or salt scrub, an exfoliating scrub. Easily add fragrance oils, essential oils, other natural butters and luxury oils, other cream and lotion bases - with this product you are limited only by your imagination! Start with a minimum of 2 lbs. of product cut up in a mixing bowl. (Less than 2 pounds will not work as there is not enough volume around the beaters.) Foaming Bath Butter can be processed in different ways, but we prefer whipping it with a double bladed electric mixer. As it is whipped, the volume slowly increases. We suggest whipping it until the volume of the butter has doubled. Over-whipping to 3 - 4 times its volume will cause the Foaming Bath Butter to collapse. As you begin to whip the butter, you can add additional ingredients. You must add your ingredients BEFORE you finish whipping the product or it will collapse. You must also whip not less than 2 pounds per batch, as there must be enough butter to fill the mixing bowl. We suggest not using a single blade mixer - you must use a double beater type mixer as the more air that's incorporated, the fluffier the mixture will be. You cannot add any ingredients after the mixture has set up or it will collapse.

Try adding the following

Carrier Oils: - adding up to 2 ounces (60 ml) of a carrier oil (such as Sweet Almond Oil, Avocado Oil or Grape Seed Oil) per pound of base has made the Foaming Bath Butter more moisturizing, particularly on products being applied to the face.

Sugar / Salt: Sugar or Dead Sea Salt can be added until the product becomes super-saturated. Once the sugar or salt stops melting, it will remain in crystal form and act as a wonderful exfoliant. You can also add Organic Jojoba Meal as an exfoliant.

Fragrance Oil: The Foaming Bath Butter will accept a fragrance load of up to 5% fragrance oil or essential oil. Typical applications are best with a load of 2% to 3%.

Other Butters and Bases: Try adding Shea Butter, Mango Butter or Cocoa Butter. The Foaming Bath Butter will also accept small amounts of other creams, lotions, and moisturizers.

Jojoba Beads: we found that by adding Jojoba Beads to uncolored, whipped Foaming Bath Butter, we were able to produce a visually appealing product which had the consistency of icing with dots of color in it.

Basic Parfait Sample Recipe

2 pounds of Foaming Bath Butter

4 ounces of Sweet Almond Oil (2 ounces per pound of Foaming Bath Butter)

Color as desired

Fragrance Oil as desired

Cut 2 Pounds of the Foaming Bath Butter and place in a mixing bowl. Using a cake mixer, slowly break down the product into a soft, consistent form. Add 4 ounces of Sweet Almond for extra moisturizing properties and start mixing at a higher speed until the product doubles in volume. Simply add color and fragrance oil to suit, and voila! You have created an exotic bath parfait. Place in your open container of choice and allow 24 hours for the product to set. If you’re feeling really adventurous, try layering different colors and selling as a Foaming Body Parfait!

Ingredients: Aqua, Glycerin, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Sorbitol, Disodium Lauryl Sulfosuccinate, Sodium Chloride, Phenoxyethanol, Tetrasodium EDTA.
